Wait… don’t hit “send” yet!

In our fast-paced, technology driven world, new content is cranked out at a rapid pace. Every minute email users send 204,166,667 messages, Facebook users share 684,478 pieces of content, and Twitter users send over 100,000 tweets. You might think that in all those millions of communications, errors will go unnoticed. However, there is ZERO room for error, because a well-executed email builds trust with your audience and a poorly executed one demolishes it. Unfortunately, we’re humans and millions of mistakes are made every minute.

As an email marketer, one of the worst, most stomach turning moments is realizing you sent an email out to thousands of subscribers with a mistake in it. Whether you sent the email to the wrong list, you used the wrong link in your CTA (I’ve personally done this, eek!), or you left out a crucial piece of information, we’ve all been there. We’ve all felt that panic.

That’s why it’s important that you never become complacent when checking your work. The moment you become comfortable is the moment something slips through the cracks. It’s not always easy though to be juggling your many tasks AND checking every minute detail. That’s why we thought we would do some of the heavy lifting for you and create a pre-deployment checklist you can utilize before every email send.
